Inquiry Terms of Reference period of consultation further extended until the 4th August

We have received the following from the Inquiry Team confirming an extension of time for the consultation in respect of the Terms of Reference on the Grenfell Fire Inquiry:

Following further feedback from those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire, we have decided to extend the consultation on the terms of reference by a further week. It will now close on Friday 4 August. In the interests of ensuring the Inquiry can progress in good time, it will not be possible to extend the consultation period further.

Details of how to respond to the consultation are available on our website, at www.grenfelltowerinquiry.org.uk

Advice from your local NHS

Inquiry terms of reference consultation extended until 28th July

GLS have received confirmation from the Inquiries Team that the consultation on the Terms of Reference of the Inquiry has been extended until 28 July 2017.

The following has been released by the Inquiry Team:

”Good evening

Since the announcement of Sir Martin Moore-Bick as Chair of the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry, he and his team have held discussions with many interested parties, in particular survivors of the fire and other residents of the Lancaster West estate.

It has become clear from these that there is a broad consensus that those affected need more than the one week originally envisaged for the Inquiry’s consultation on its terms of reference. We are therefore extending the consultation period until 28 July, an extension of two weeks. We believe this strikes the right balance between providing enough time for people to respond meaningfully and ensuring the Inquiry’s work, which cannot begin without terms of reference, can progress quickly.

Details of meetings open to survivors and local residents, to discuss the terms of reference, will be announced shortly.

Regards

Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry Team ”
